Automotive Industries Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary company under Toyota Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Executive to join our team. The incumbent of this role will be responsible for ensuring company purchases are made with optimum efficiency and are in accordance with the company procedures.
Job Description
- Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Obtain and analyze quotations and recommend cost-effective options.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor open purchase orders and update stakeholders on delivery status.
- Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality and documentation.
- Support price negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist in supplier performance tracking and evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval matrix.
Job Requirements
- Possess a recognized Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) SAP system and have knowledge in inventory management.
- Vendor coordination and follow-up, cost comparison and quotation analysis, time management and multitasking, attention to detail and accuracy.
