This role is hired for our affiliate company, LACTALIS Ingredients.
1. Commercial Strategy & Market Development
- Lead B2B sales efforts targeting food manufacturers, distributors, and formulators
- Identify market opportunities and execute strategic sales plans
- Monitor industry trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activity to inform decisions
- Represent Lactalis Malaysia at trade shows, customer visits, and industry events
- Cultivate long-term relationships across diverse cultural and business environments
2. Sales & Negotiation
- Apply and optimize pricing strategies for each customer
- Negotiate contracts in line with budget and approved price lists
- Prospect and onboard new customers and applications
- Ensure strategic negotiation enhances company value and supports growth
- Do sales for local and SEA export.
3. Administration & Coordination
- Propose annual volume budgets by customer and sector
- Ensure timely customer payments and resolve quality-related claims
- Maintain and update customer database (volumes, competitors, product mix, development pipeline)
- Keep action lists, offers, and sales records updated weekly
- Document customer meeting minutes and coordinate contract execution with France-based assistant
4. Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze zone performance and implement corrective actions
- Update monthly commercial forecasts and provide weekly field feedback
- Share insights into customer developments, including new products and R&D directions
- Provide regular reporting to management on commercial activities and progress
Requirement:
- Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Business or related field
- 5-7 years experience in B2B food commodity/ingredients sales, preferably dairy sectors
- Experienced in local and export sales
- Experience in supply chain management and commercial operations
- Strong experience in determining solutions for customers using consultative approach at the same time protecting company interest.
- Strong negotiation skills with a value-driven mindset
- Global savvy and an appreciation for cultural diversity
- Ability to lead and influence in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Positive attitude and natural rapport with customers
- Analytical skills
- Willing to travel and comfortable working during public holidays to support international customers (replacement leave will be provided).
- Fluency in English; Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin
