Role Description The Assistant Sales Manager, Mortgage is a full-time role responsible for driving mortgage sales and supporting the achievement of branch and regional targets. Based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, this is a hybrid role where work is performed both on-site and from home, depending on business needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and developing new mortgage business opportunities, managing a portfolio of customers, and providing advisory services on mortgage products and eligibility. The role involves coordinating with internal teams for credit assessment and loan processing, preparing sales proposals, and ensuring accurate documentation. The Assistant Sales Manager will also monitor market trends, participate in sales campaigns, maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policies, and deliver high-quality customer service throughout the mortgage application and post-approval process.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with the ability to meet and exceed mortgage sales targets.
  • Customer relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex mortgage products clearly and professionally.
  • Basic credit analysis, financial literacy, and understanding of mortgage structures, interest rates, and affordability assessments.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail in handling documentation, compliance requirements, and follow-up activities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with branch and central teams, and using digital tools for remote work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in banking or mortgage sales.
  • Prior experience in retail banking, mortgage sales, or consumer lending is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of local regulations governing mortgage lending and familiarity with Islamic and conventional mortgage products is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM or sales management systems.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, non-discriminatory customer engagement, and adherence to CIMB's risk and compliance standards.
