Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the finance team of the Group's business units to ensure compliance and implementation of policies and requirements of the relevant tax authorities.
- Identify and report any potential financial risks or issues and work closely with the finance team of the Group's business units to implement appropriate solutions and to ensure effective tax management.
- Manage and oversee the compliance and prompt filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, and other direct or indirect taxes (eg. Sales and Services Tax, Stamp Duty and any other relevant taxes) of the Group's business units.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation, evaluating their impact and implement necessary adjustments to company processes to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Group's business units on any transfer pricing documentation.
- Provide proactive tax planning, advice, and solutions to enhance tax efficiency.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the finance team of the Group's business units on tax audits, inquiries, and related matters.
- Coordinate and manage the requirements by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Country-by -Country Reporting (CbCR) and BEPS Pillar 2, in collaborating with tax consultants. (Hands-on experience in these areas is an added advantage)
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation or a related field.
- Professional qualification of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) or Chartered Accountants (CA) eg. MICPA, ICAEW, ACCA will be an added advantage.
- Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with relevant experience in accounting firm will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of the Malaysian Income Tax regulations and principles. Knowledge of other international tax regime is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to details, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership capabilities and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 9.00am to 6.00pm
Friday: 9.00am to 5.30pm
Saturday (Alternate): 9.00am to 12.30pm
