Job Purpose
Responsible for leading IT projects, effectively coordinating and guiding the execution of technical projects, including defining the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and deployment within the timeline and in accordance with the organization's strategic objectives. He/she manages project progress, risks & issues, resource optimization, and financial tracking. Additionally, he/she is responsible for technical, application, and user support to ensure the effective delivery of IT services.
Key Accountabilities
- Define project objectives, scope, budget, requirements, and project plans, outlining tasks, schedules, monitoring, resource allocation, success criteria, and dependency requirements. Take proactive measures to keep the project on track, ensuring team members have the necessary resources and support to complete their work effectively.
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Produce deliverables within the agreed-upon timetable.
- Manage project risks and scope, identify and resolve issues that may impact project results. Responsible for minimizing project risk and aiding in decisions on system implementation.
- Conduct project postmortems and provide recommendation reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Prepare and provide timely reports to stakeholders on all project activities, including recurring problems, mitigation efforts, and recommended solutions for improvement.
- Ensure technical/functional requirements are detailed sufficiently at the appropriate stage of the design lifecycle.
- Conduct end-user training before the deployment of projects.
- Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Support and assist with all related IT activities for ISO certification, particularly the ISMS Audit, ensuring the achievement of zero NCR during internal/external audits.
- Ensure open incidents and requests are addressed according to SLA.
- Ensure that customer complaints are handled promptly and appropriately by team members.
- Maintain effective communication with relevant divisions, departments, vendors, and end users to gather feedback and ensure desired service levels are met. Understand requirements to improve system functionality and effectiveness.
- Monitor the performance of staff and identify improvement measures to ensure effective discharge of support duties.
- Provide support, technical guidance, and on-the-job training to IT team members and users to enhance skills, work performance, and motivation.
- Provide technical support for selected systems and applications to ensure the highest system uptime and availability.
- Respond to any issues that arise during the project's lifecycle.
- Comply with all standard controls, best practices, and processes, both internally and externally, including IT System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), change management, and change control processes.
- Manage and maintain system documentation, such as technical, operational, maintenance, and troubleshooting manuals, to ensure continuous development and maintenance.
- Assist the HOS with the creation and implementation of new policies, procedures, and IT-related initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering,Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of working expenence in IT project management, programming and relevant field.
- Planning, prioritizing and administering work, Skill in writing tests scripts, integration tests, and debugging.
Technology Knowledge
- Good knowledge of project management methodology and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Critical Path Method (CPM) or Six Sigma with experience in ITIL
- Project Management
- Professional (PMP)
- certification is a plus.
