Job Description

Role Overview:

The Assistant Vice President - Auto & SME Financing, drives the growth of ARBM's Retail Asset portfolio by expanding Auto and SME Financing businesses and increasing customer product penetration. This role shapes product innovation by defining business requirements for new and competitive financing solutions, while actively developing strategic partnerships to boost NTB acquisition and sales performance. The role oversees portfolio management, P&L performance, and operational efficiency, ensuring smooth sales execution, effective system enhancements, and compliance with Shariah and internal standards. The position also leads marketing campaigns, market research, and product documentation improvements to strengthen ARBM's market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive product and business development by defining requirements for new/updated financing products, developing acquisition campaigns, engaging sales channels, and managing strategic partner relationships to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure Shariah compliance and governance by working with the Shariah team for endorsements and aligning initiatives with market and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee full product lifecycle management, including topline/bottomline performance, product reviews, pricing strategies, market competitiveness, and end-to-end portfolio growth.
  • Strengthen sales effectiveness by supporting system setup, enabling sales teams to close deals, designing incentive schemes, and coordinating events and roadshows.
  • Enhance customer experience through collaboration with Delivery Channels and Customer Fulfillment to manage attrition, resolve complaints, and improve service levels.
  • Improve operations and processes by reviewing SOPs, operational requirements, workflows, documentation, and identifying cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead system and technology enhancement initiatives by working with IT on UAT, system improvement, and project management for smoother business operations.
  • Manage partnerships and networks, including assessing, onboarding, and monitoring panel dealers, CCSP, and CIB companies.
  • Develop MIS and business insights through portfolio reporting, market analysis, and ongoing monitoring of business performance.
  • Ensure compliance and audit readiness by resolving audit issues promptly and maintaining adherence to internal, regulatory, and Shariah standards.
  • Lead and develop team members by providing training, cultivating compliance-driven behaviour, managing performance, and reducing staff attrition.
  • Support organisational goals through annual budgeting, strategy development, and undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Recognized degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields; certifications in Islamic Finance/Banking or a Master's degree are added advantages.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Retail Asset, Product Management, or Marketing within the banking industry, preferably at a senior level with peoplemanagement exposure.
  • Experience in Islamic financial services is beneficial.
  • Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Resultsdriven, collaborative, and able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills across all levels.
