- Support the VP in leading the Group Pricing team, delivering pricing, product development and risk management for employee benefits and healthcare products, ensuring competitiveness, profitability and compliance with internal risk and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support VP in Team Leadership and Delivery – oversee day-to-day allocation, review work and coach junior staff
- Co-lead Pricing Strategy and Case Execution – drive pricing for tenders, renewals and new products with VP oversight
- Strategic and Ad-hoc Projects – Lead identified business initiatives (e.g. affinity schemes/promotional products, P&L analysis)
- Cross-functional Stakeholder Management – coordinate with Sales, Finance, Ops, IT and Reinsurers
- Experience Analysis and Insights – oversee analysis, ensure insights inform pricing and assumptions
- Reinsurance Management – support treaty negotiations and analysis
- Process Improvement – lead development of pricing tools and automation, leveraging AI
- Governance and Approvals – ensure compliance with pricing governance and approval frameworks
Key Decisions within the Role
- Recommend pricing decisions within delegated authority
- Lead initiatives/discussions and escalate non-standard cases appropriately
- Influence pricing assumptions and methodologies
- Support portfolio and profitability management decisions

Requirements
Experience
- 6–8 years of relevant experience (experience in group insurance / employee benefits pricing is an advantage)
- Demonstrated use of AI tools or applications will be an advantage
- Progress in actuarial examinations (qualified actuary or near qualification preferred)
- Strong analytical and data skills, with proficiency in Excel and experience in tools such as Access, VBA, R, and Prophet
- Proven stakeholder management and effective communication skills
- Ability to review work and coach or guide junior team members
Education
- Academic: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Actuarial Studies or similar
- Professional Certification(s): Progress in actuarial examinations (qualified actuary or near qualification preferred)
