Job Description

The talent is responsible to perform following mission:

  • Support the Market Coverage with new programs and proposition that meeting the market demand and requirement. Actively analyse the market movement and identify the suitable program and proposition that met the business requirement. Supporting Halal in One (HiO) with HiO portal development from end to end and its ongoing maintenance continuously including deposits, wealth and general financing. Liaising actively with all stakeholders and vendors for effective development timeframe.

  • AIS deposits strategy: Collaborate with CEO, EVP GTT, EVP CCC, EVP FM, and SVP, Strategy on development of deposits strategy to achieve AIS deposit business goals (covering retail, SME and Corporate & Commercial) defining:

a) NTB target segments, i.e. HiO, government, HNW and mass affluent

b) Key propositions

c) Execution model and timelines

  • Marketing execution: Drive marketing activities for AIS deposit products and transaction banking offerings (including corporate online banking, cash management, BizSmart) in support of overall goals and deposit strategies. Drive sales acquisition through development and launch of new deposit products and campaigns. Prioritize and craft tactical responses to relevant ongoing market developments in order to preserve key clientele relationships and enhance further business development opportunities.

  • Relationship management: Nurture positive and fruitful rapport with identified internal and external stakeholders via regular formal and informal engagements, dialogues and collaborations. Avail regular, round-the-clock communication channels for the stakeholders. Attend to all needs, requirements, and requests by the stakeholders. Ensure issues raised by clients are resolved expeditiously, and fed back to the client accordingly. Responsible for delivering consistent growth in client value on a year-on-year basis. Ensure all AIS new key relationships are institutionalized via formal processes (buddy system, account rotations, etc.)

  • Market intelligence: Be aware of market developments relevant to the deposit business, through (i) own market research; (ii) industry reports and marketing literature; (iii) regular liaisons with an informal network of market contacts. Responsible also for conducting market research and analysis on market trend and competitors deposit propositions.

  • Campaign management: Collaborate with campaign management team to design and rollout deposit campaign for retail and wholesale segments. Provide leads and feedback on campaign and marketing communication opportunities.

  • Subject Matter Expert Support: Provide helpline for internal and external customers. Conduct training and road shows to regularly refresh product knowledge at channels. Maintain good communication with sales teams and channels as well as back office system and operations. Others: Other duties as assigned by Supervisors

Job Requirements:

a) Skills

Technical: (i) business proposition and program development knowledge and technical skills. Possess good IT related knowledge with portal development experience. (ii) Deposits/TB solutioning and proposition crafting.

Soft: (i) Persuasion. (ii) Negotiation. (iii) Consensus-building. (iv) Constructive empathy.

b) Knowledge

  • Good knowledge and experience in program and proposition development.
  • Strong grasp of theory and application of Islamic deposit structures applied in the market
  • BNM rules and regulations on deposits

c) Experience

  • Minimum 8 years in banking industry, 5 years in deposits role, and 2 years in leadership role
  • Experience marketing to senior government and corporate personnel
