Job Scope / Position Summary
- Manage tax compliance, planning, and reporting functions, both direct and indirect tax.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and optimizing tax efficiency.
Main Responsibility
Manage Direct Tax
- Lead the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns
- Manage monthly and annual tax provisions for local reporting.
- Manage the preparation and reporting of deferred taxation for local reporting, on a monthly and annual basis.
- Support tax planning initiatives including capital optimization.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate and timely filings.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation affecting insurance operations and assess business impact.
- Handle tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Manage tax aspects of investment portfolio, including withholding tax and treaty benefits (if any).
- Manage direct tax for active and dormant related companies.
Manage Indirect Tax
- Manage the submission of indirect tax and Global Minimum Tax to regulator.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of indirect tax returns.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for tax filings.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
- Educate internal teams on indirect tax requirements and updates.
- Maintain accurate records of tax transactions, filings, and correspondence.
- Prepare documentation and responses for indirect tax audits.
- Implement process and controls over indirect tax.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to automate tax processes.
- Manage indirect tax for active and dormant related companies.
Manage tax reporting for Group reporting
- Manage the submission of tax reporting to Generali Group timely and accu-rately.
- Update Group Tax Policy and Guideline.
- Manage the processes and controls of tax reporting, aligning with Group Tax Policy and Guideline.
- Prepare documentation and responses for review of tax processes for Group Internal Auditor.
Qualification and Experience Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Tax / Accounting / Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 5-6 years tax experience
- Ability to adapt and learn fast, diligent, trustworthy and have strong initia-tive to learn
- Result oriented, committed, team player, positive working attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate, specifically in MS Office
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in tax and indirect tax
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
