Job Description

Clickr is evolving. We have a robust marketing team delivering strong campaign execution. Now, we are looking for an Assoc. Strategy Director to take the helm of this department.

In this role, you will be the bridge between business objectives and digital reality. You will lead our existing team of marketers, ensuring that every piece of content, every ad dollar, and every line of code serves a larger strategic purpose. You are not just planning the strategy; you are accountable for the team delivering it across the full digital spectrum.

Key Responsibilities

1. High-Level Strategy & Consultancy

  • Client Business Partner: Go beyond marketing goals to understand client business models, define their UVP, and identify revenue opportunities.
  • The Strategic Narrative: Own the Big Idea. Develop brand positioning, audience personas, and customer journey maps that guide all downstream execution.
  • Integrated Planning: Architect holistic digital strategies that utilize the right mix of channels. You determine where we play and how we win before the team starts building.

2. Integrated Channel Oversight (The Full Stack Responsibilities)

You will oversee the marketing team's output across these key pillars, ensuring best practices and strategic alignment:

  • Paid Media & Performance: Review and approve media plans across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and Programmatic. Ensure budget allocation maximizes ROAS and aligns with the funnel stage.
  • Content & Social Strategy: Guide the narrative. Ensure our content pillars, social calendars, and creative assets aren't just noise, but are actually driving brand equity and engagement.
  • SEO & Organic Growth: Oversee the organic strategy. Ensure technical SEO, on-page content, and authority building are working in tandem with paid efforts, not in silos.
  • Data & Analytics: Define the measurement framework. You decide what we measure (KPIs) and help the team interpret the data to tell a meaningful story to the client, rather than just reporting numbers.
  • MarTech & Innovation: Evaluate and optimize our tech stack. Advise clients on their CRM, automation tools, and data platforms to ensure they have the infrastructure to scale.

3. Team Leadership & Evolution

  • Elevate the Team: You are inheriting a team of capable marketers. Your job is to mentor them to think more strategicallyturning channel specialists into solution providers.
  • Quality Assurance: Act as the final gatekeeper for major campaigns. Ensure the execution matches the promise made in the strategy deck.
  • Resource Planning: Manage the team's capacity and bandwidth across a portfolio of varied client accounts.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a T-Shaped leader: Deep expertise in Strategy, with broad, functional knowledge of the entire digital ecosystem.

Must-Haves:

  • Experience: 8+ years in digital marketing, with a proven background in a Strategy role (Agency experience preferred).
  • Channel Fluency: You don't need to be an expert in everything, but you must be fluent in the mechanics of SEO, SEM, Social, and Content. You need to know when a channel is underperforming and why.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with the modern MarTech landscape (e.g., GA4, HubSpot, Salesforce, SEMrush, Programmatic platforms).
  • Commercial Acumen: You understand how agencies make money (profitability, scopes) and how clients make money (margins, CLV).
  • Leadership Style: Collaborative and educational. You enjoy teaching a team why we are doing something, not just telling them to do it.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Pitch Win Rate: Success rate in converting new business opportunities.
  • Strategy-to-Execution Fidelity: Ensuring the campaign that goes live actually reflects the strategy sold to the client, hitting or exceeding defined KPIs.
  • Client Retention & Growth: Increasing the lifetime value of clients through successful strategy implementation, and identifying opportunities to cross-sell services (e.g., noticing a Media client needs SEO help and pitching it effectively).
  • Team Development: Measurable growth in the soft skills and strategic thinking of your direct reports.
