Job Description

This role is responsible for the end-to-end ownership, management and maintenance for all portfolio of assets (13 platforms) supporting the company's enterprise business.

The role will be specifically as the product owner responsible to oversee the operations and strategic direction for the relevant business applications.

The person in this role will be working dynamic agile environment and should be open to new ways of working; as well as close collaboration with many cross-functional teams in support of Enterprise goals and expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Management

  • Address overall business needs, ensure digital product roadmap in line with overall business strategy.
  • Manage, optimise and prioritize business demands in relation to business value generation and resource capacity with all business unit heads.
  • Formulate and determine the long and mid-term strategic plan of the unit aligning to department, division, and company.
  • Drive continues improvement for technology portfolio under your purview.
  • Participate in Tech Leadership forums and engagement, ensure key messages are roll down to team effectively.
  • Participate and influence business stakeholders in business planning sessions to align with IT deliver and support.
  • Co-own Business Case at Product Level with business owner.
  • Responsible on Product Level TECH related investment and operational expenditure.
  • Monitor and track financial spent inclusive of Budget utilization, commitment spent, actual drawdown and forecasting.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Plan, manage, and optimise resources for complete execution delivery.
  • Build in-house capability and successor planning.
  • Lead, attract and retain high quality individual.
  • Coach and mentor team to acquire the technical and soft skills.
  • Engage team performance and development plan in aligning to the IT strategic plan.

Innovative Solution Design

  • Focus on business processes improvement, do the right thing and do it right.
  • To understand, challenge, analyse user stories/user requirements and translate functional and non-functional requirements into digital solutions.
  • Accountable application solutions/system with quality, architecture/risk/security compliance and continuous improvement.

Application Development and Management

  • Ensure quality service delivery and efficient implementation across all.
  • Ensure delivery complies to SOP defined (Agile, SDLC, change management, security tollgates, etc.)
  • Provide support throughout UT, SIT, UAT, Pentest, Performance Test, ORT to ensure testing is done in accordance with requirements.
  • Responsible for governance and execution around software development, including version control, code review and structure, architecture, security, quality, and performance.
  • Provide 2nd level production and incident support.
  • Measure the success of digital product launches and perform post launch evaluation.
  • Managing vendor SLA.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Responsible as the trusted digital solutions advisor.
  • Manage, negotiate, and influence relationships with senior leadership team and managers (inter and intra divisional) to deliver credible and consistent solution services.
  • Manage, negotiate, and influence vendor, business partner and Group IT relationships to provide delivery flexibility.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transformation with a strong track record in digitalisation, experimentation with different technologies and technology platform deployments.
  • Minimum 8 year of experience in leading in a fast-paced, high-demand, performance delivery environment.
  • Strong inspirational change leadership at strategic and operational level as well as people management skills to be seen as an innovative leader amongst peers, partners and external parties.
  • Functional breadth across Insurance is beneficial but not a pre-requisite. Experience in leading through change, with a proven ability in assessing business risks and formulating appropriate internal controls that minimize risk. Proven ability to deliver while transforming.
  • Strong innovative mindset with ability to synthesis data to drive enhancements of existing digital assets to better support business goals.
