Job Description

A licensed stockbroking and investment banking company in Malaysia

Industry: Brokerage

Location: KL

Headcount: 2 headcounts

Tenure: 1-year renewable contract

Remuneration: up to RM22,000, EPF, Socso, Medical, Insurance, Annual leave & more

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of projects under the PMO, ensuring successful execution within defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. The role acts as a key liaison between stakeholders, driving governance, transparency, and effective project execution across cross-functional teams.

Lead end-to-end project delivery in accordance with PMO governance standards, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives.

Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

Serve as the key liaison between stakeholders, providing clear updates and facilitating decision-making at Project Steering Committee (PSC) level.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource allocation, and financial tracking to ensure effective project control and transparency.

Ensure all project deliverables comply with governance, regulatory, and quality requirements, including proper documentation and formal sign-offs.

Prepare and deliver timely project reporting to GITSC and country management.

Oversee end-to-end project closure activities, including go-live sign-off, lessons learned documentation, and smooth handover to BAU teams.

Minimum 8 years of project management experience, preferably in complex or multi-stakeholder environments.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent are highly preferred.

Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) will be an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, PMO governance frameworks).

Proven experience managing full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.

Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills across all levels.

Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capabilities.

Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.

Strong documentation and reporting skills, including PSC packs and status reports.

Optional / Added Advantage

Experience in regulatory or compliance-driven projects (e.g., Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia).

Exposure to project financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis.

Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, or functional specification development.

Experience in IT system implementation, digital transformation, or vendor management.

Knowledge of change management and post-implementation support processes.

Candidate with knowledge from Brokerage Industry would be added advantage
