My client is seeking to succession plan for their esteemed business in the medical device industry. This company is highly nuanced where you will experience true growth and learning in a global context. You will deal with international clients around the world while leading a strong team of technical experts consisting of multiple managers and engineers.
In this role, you will
- Lead end-to-end quality control for precision CNC machining, ensuring company's products meet engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications.
- Oversee advanced inspection and measurement systems (CMM, optical, surface roughness, gauges), ensuring robust MSA, calibration, and continuous improvement in accuracy and efficiency.
- Drive nonconformance and CAPA management, including root cause analysis of dimensional and machining defects, trend monitoring, and sustainable corrective actions.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to strengthen process capability, support NPI, validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and machining transfers in a high-precision production environment.
- Manage supplier and incoming quality for machined and secondary-processed components, ensuring consistent conformance across the supply chain.
- Act as key customer quality interface, supporting audits, FAI/PPAP activities, and technical resolution of precision-related issues (tolerances, surface finish, dimensional control).
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Direct experience in QC for precision engineering / manufacturing industries
- Experience dealing with customers
- Someone who is assertive, responsible and who thinks of the bigger picture and team in decision making etc
