Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential institutional clients.
  • Promote investment management (IM) products through proactive engagement and networking.
  • Document client interactions by generating visit notes and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Develop innovative sales and product ideas that align with client needs and market trends.
  • Assist in preparing product pitch-books, proposals, and tailored presentations.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of Malaysia cross-selling strategies for wholesale clients.
  • Collaborate with product manufacturers to explore bundling opportunities and optimize product pitches.
  • Prepare and distribute daily sales notes and market updates.
  • Communicate investment ideas, reports, and event opportunities in collaboration with research and product development teams.
  • Coordinate with other team Heads to ensure seamless information flow on markets, ideas, and client strategies.
  • Liaise with product manufacturer teams to implement SME support systems for multi-product pitches.
  • Work closely with product development and distribution teams to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness across channels.
  • Continuously support team members in improving the quality and delivery of equity and IM products to clients.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor Degree or Professional Qualification in relevant fields ie Finance/Accounting/ Economics/Statistics/Marketing with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in similar/related industries.

Competencies

  • Strong background in institutional sales, client relationship management, or investment product distribution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex investment ideas into client-focused solutions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and drive cross-selling initiatives.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen understanding of market trends and client needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
