Associate, General Ledger

We are hiring an Associate, General Ledger to support accurate and timely financial services for business units in Malaysia. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong experience in general ledger accounting, month-end reporting, statutory compliance, audit coordination, tax matters, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial accounting and reporting activities within agreed deadlines, in line with group processes and policies.
• Prepare and support group reporting packages, including actuals, tax packs, statutory reporting, and related financial submissions.
• Ensure compliance with group policies, statutory financial controls, internal/external audit requirements, and financial control standards.
• Support external audit, corporate tax, GST/SST, withholding tax, statistical surveys, and other statutory reporting matters.
• Liaise with external tax agents, auditors, agency finance teams, and internal shared service teams.
• Provide advisory support on accounting and tax-related matters to agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Support collaboration across business units, including agency integration, legal entity reduction, post-month-end reviews, and balance sheet reviews.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects and other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting or commercial finance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in GST/SST, corporate tax, audit, and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax requirements.
• Experience using accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting compilation.
• Hyperion reporting experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience in the advertising or media industry will be advantageous.
• Good communication skills in English; ability to read Malay language is preferred.
