JOB SUMMARY
The task is to assist in providing technical solutions to problems encountered during the implementation of CAPEX works, prepare outcome reports as and when instructed by top management, carry out technical investigation, prepare technical proposal, preparation of BQ, drawing, tender evaluation for in-house design and to review design, tender documents and tender evaluation carried out by consultants/in-house of CAPEX projects.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in providing technical solutions to problems encountered during the implementation of CAPEX works during design stage and implementation stage, prepare outcome reports as and when instructed by top management.
- To carry out technical investigation, prepare technical proposal, preparation of BQ, drawing, tender evaluation for in-house design and to review design, tender documents and tender evaluation carried out by consultants/in-house of CAPEX projects.
- To assist on preparation of project details for appointment of Panel Consultant under CAPEX projects.
- To prepare and submit Project Review Committee Papers, Manual Requisition Form under CAPEX projects.
- To conduct Monthly Progress Meeting with Consultants under CAPEX projects.
- To respond to all request for technical/design/drawing assistance from the Departments / Regional Offices and consultants.
- To attend internal/external meetings, assist and provide technical input to Government bodies / external agencies for projects that are currently on-going and future proposals.
- Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management / Superior.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree of Engineering in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical.
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical industry.
- Knowledge in the construction industry would be an added advantage.
- In-depth understanding of the water industry issues in Malaysia
- Know in-depth regulation and requirement regarding water supply and distribution system
- Conversant in the areas of planning, designing, cost estimating, hydraulic simulation and analysis
- Experience in the preparation of tender documentation and bill of quantities would be an added advantage.
