JOB SUMMARY
- To plan, lead, organize, develop and direct efforts of the Ultrasonic Smart Meter Unit strategies & policies and to ensure its alignment to AIS overall strategy, policies and objectives and;
- To assist the Head of Unit to explore and propose new and latest technologies for metering and connectivity and;
- To assist Head of Unit to plan and implement meter unit strategies and policies and to ensure its align with AIS overall corporate strategy, policies, and objectives for the full spectrum of metering operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Exploration and Implementation on Ultrasonic Smart Meter
- Analysis of Ultrasonic Smart Meter (USM) and Electromagnetic Meter (EM) Alarm Code
- Smart Meter – Water consumption Monitoring and Data Analysis (USM/EM)
- Transmission of data and data Analysis from HES to Air Selangor Hydrosmart Database
- Smart Meter Reading CMRS Verification and Quality Control Based on Service Cycle
- Install Event – Pending Status Resolved and Completed
- Review and perform data cleanup, including unbilled items, synchronized SC, BC and Route based on USM profile
- Inactive account (Termination Supply, Cut for Non-Payment, Pending Start and Pending Stop) with consumption listing
- Time Drift Data Analysis for USM and EM
- Quarterly Meeting with region for addressing issue related to USM and EM
Establish Learning, Instrument, Tools & Policy
- Establish the policies and processes pertaining to the metering and communicate the same to all head sections and units.
- Monitor and evaluate the KPI's on target in relation to any operation or program.
- Preparation, evaluation and monitoring of SOP's, guidelines and any compliance related to meter operation.
- Perform training (theory & practical) to Region's meter unit related to SOP's guideline or any meter's operation or technical input
- Ensure efficient and effective implementation of work processes by unit and compliance to SOP, WSIA and Water Rules & Regulations
- Formulate learning and development policies, procedures, and improvement plans based on identified business needs, procedures, products and services for meter operation
Managing Meter Contract
- Management of Meter Contract Supply and Delivery of Ultrasonic Smart Meter and Electromagnetic Meter (EM).
- Organize on purchase, monitor and ensure sufficient meter stock for Central Store and Regional Store's for AIS operation
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor.
- Preferred Disciplines: Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
Experience
- 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience is required.
- Proficient with use of computer software and systems, including Microsoft Office and Oracle billing systems.
- Understanding of water meters and meters reading technology.
- Basic understanding of residential and commercial water use.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, plumbing fixtures and appliances equipment.
