Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

To carry out Private Credit post investment management and monitoring to ensure appointed fund managers meet the performance objectives, ensure smooth operations of investment vehicles, as well as to prepare and present necessary working papers for EPF's Management Investment Committee (MIC), EPF's Investment Panel (IP) and other relevant approvals in line with EPF's investment policies, guidelines and relevant laws or regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in Private Credit post investment management to ensure that the fund manager meets the performance objectives, compliance and in line with EPF risk appetite.
  • Perform Private Credit portfolio management, includes screening and analysing deals, ensuring the transactions are recorded properly in the investment management systems, reviewing and reporting fund managers performance report to Head of Department or MIC or IP.
  • Assist in implementing the appointment, documentation, and set up of fund manager or fund or investment vehicles or funding structure according to the MIC or IP approval.
  • Work with corporate service providers, tax advisors, accountants, auditors, consultants and EPF internal teams to ensure smooth operations of the private credit investments or Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
  • Work with SPV accountants to finalise quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements, and collaborate with SPV auditors to obtain sign off on financial statements.
  • Administer the status of tax filing of the SPV and work with the tax advisors in relation to the SPV tax reporting requirement.
  • Work with the Investment Risk Management team in providing complete and timely information on any debt investment recommendations, in order to ensure timeliness in the submission of investment papers to the IP.
  • Liaise with Legal Department or external legal advisor for any matter arising from private debt documents or agreements pertaining to commercial issues and SPV; and to ensure all terms and conditions that are set or approved by the IP are met and provided in the legal documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pass in Bahasa Melayu, including the oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Investment, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institution
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in private credit management or related roles within the financial or asset management industry
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulousness, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
  • Skilled in writing and presentations
  • Good knowledge of financial statement, cashflow and credit risk analysis, with exposure to investment guidelines and instruments
