JOB SUMMARY
- Monitor status of EM meter on daily basis
- Research and survey emerging and on-going metering technologies
- Assist in conducting pilot project as approved by management
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operation
- Manage every aspect of Air Selangor smart meter operation and management.
- Assist the implementation and execution of metering strategies for AIS which is aligned to the business strategy.
- The replacement of conventional meters to smart meters is based on the target set by the Management.
- Procure, maintenance and operation of smart meter.
Performance Analysis, Predictive & Preventive Maintenance
- To supervise and consult routine maintenance program to ensure best health of the smart meter, communication and reading accuracy
- Analysis of water consumption trends to identify anomalies in such a way to conduct troubleshooting or meter resizing.
- Generates and analyses reports from Air Selangor billing system to flag high or low reads or unusual trends. Assures that meter readings are accurate and reliable, especially prior to billing.
Complaint Rectification
- To assist regions in investigating complaints on smart meter faulty complaints, high bills readings, negative bill reading.
- Liaise with end user/key customer if there is requirement for billing enquiry or other related work.
- Ad-hoc verification applied to complaints and investigative cases by the enforcement department.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent with preference on Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumental, Computer Engineering or Data Science.
- Minimum experience with current metering technologies/communication protocol.
Knowledge
- Understanding of mechanisms of mechanical and smart (ultrasonic/electromagnetic) water meters
- Basic knowledge in communication protocols for smart meter technologies (Radio Frequency, Sigfox, NB-IoT, etc.)
- Basic knowledge in plumbing, plumbing fixtures and equipment.
