What You'll Do:
The Associate Manager, Operational Risk & Business Continuity Management (BCM) plays a pivotal role in strengthening the Company's operational resilience across its digital payments, eWallet, remittance, lending, and other fintech-related businesses. This position is responsible for driving Operational Risk Management activities and supporting Business Continuity Management (BCM) practices, ensuring the organisation's preparedness against disruptions while maintaining sound risk governance in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Operational Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks using various tools (e.g., RCSA, KRI, MSII, Incident Management).
- Perform risk assessments for new products, projects, and campaigns, and support group-wide risk activities including risk appetite monitoring, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Enhance and automate risk tools, dashboards, and reporting systems by leveraging AI, data analytics, and automation to improve risk visibility and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to BNM, PayNet, and Securities Commission.
- Contribute to Risk Management policies and procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen risk governance and support risk committee secretariat duties.
Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Develop, implement, and maintain BCM and DR strategies, frameworks, and plans in compliance with BNM guidelines, ISO 22301, and industry best practices.
- Conduct BIA, risk assessments, and scenario-based analyses to identify critical business functions, systems, dependencies, and vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate BCM and DR training, testing, and exercises (e.g., tabletop exercises, simulation drills) to validate organisational preparedness.
- Support incident response and crisis management activities, and maintain up-to-date BC documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with departments across the organisation to integrate BCM and DR plans into operational processes, monitor plan effectiveness, and provide guidance to stakeholders on business continuity matters.
Role Requirements:
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of relevant experience or professional qualification in Operational Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, or Enterprise Risk Management, preferably within the financial services, fintech, or e-payments industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of BNM regulatory requirements, including the e-money, Operational Risk Reporting (ORR), BCM policy, Risk Management in Technology (RMiT) policy, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and data analytics applications in risk management.
- Hands-on experience with operational risk tools/methodologies (e.g., RCSA, KRI, incident management, scenario analysis) and conducting BIA, risk assessments, and developing/testing BCM and DR plans.
Core Competencies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong governance, documentation, review, and reporting capabilities with attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with AI, data analytics, and risk management tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or SAS.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic and fast-paced environment. Self-starter who works independently, solution-oriented, and collaborates well with teams.
