JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Head of Unit to conduct due diligence exercise for new fund managers appointment and existing fund managers.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of prospective fund managers, including investment philosophy, investment processes (portfolio research and constructions), investment teams and management, performance history, operational capabilities, risk and compliance frameworks
- Conduct ongoing due diligence of existing fund managers through regular review on performance, operations, risk management practices, team and management assessment
- Evaluate adherence to investment mandates, ESG commitments and analyse risk exposure across portfolio managed by EFMs
- Work closely with the Risk Management Department and Sustainability Investment Centre to ensure robust monitoring and early identification of potential issues and alignment with the organisations sustainability objectives.
- Continuously refine due diligence frameworks and methodologies to align with industry best practices.
- Liaise with internal teams (JPDL) and EFMs to coordinate data collection and follow-ups.
- Draft initial due diligence reports, performance summaries, and report card.
- Maintain databases on managers assessment and managers portal with accuracy and consistency for internal or management reference.
- Support the coordination of networking sessions with prospective fund managers and market intelligence experts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen.
- Pass in Bahasa Melayu, including oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
- At least 5 years of working experience in related field. Relevant experience in the financial industry or asset management industry would be an advantage.
- Possess a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or any other major from local or overseas universities recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
- Good analytical skills, meticulousness, and ability to work independently.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with associated stakeholders.
- Results-oriented, fast-paced, resourceful, proactive, resilient and able to deliver under pressure.
