Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role based in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur for an Associate Professor/ Professor in Clinical Psychology. The role involves teaching, research, curriculum development, and university teaching activities related to psychology.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching for the Master of Clinical Psychology programme.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects, clinical case reports, and practicum placements.
- Provide clinical supervision in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Conduct and publish impactful research in Clinical Psychology or related fields.
- Contribute to curriculum development, programme review, and quality assurance.
- Participate in academic committees and administrative responsibilities as required.
- Mentor junior academic staff and support capacity building within the department.
- Engage in professional, community, and university outreach activities related to Clinical Psychology.
Requirements
- PhD in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field.
- Recognised qualification and registration/licensure as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Minimum 5 years (Associate Professor) or 810 years (Professor) of academic and clinical experience.
- Proven experience in postgraduate teaching and clinical supervision.
- At least 10 publications in indexed journals(e.g., Scopus, Web of Science).
- Strong track record in research, including grant acquisition and project leadership.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and academic leadership skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to postgraduate education, research, and professional practice.
