Purpose of Job
The role will be responsible in managing client servicing of reinsurance accounts, assisting for developing and executing reinsurance strategies to ensure that all risk acceptances are placed by appropriate reinsurance arrangements. The role also focuses on fostering strong relationships and connections with reinsurer partners to support the growth and profitability of the reinsurance business.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Assist the renewal accounts that are assigned including negotiating and arranging reinsurance placements, client visitation, cedent visitation, and markets management.
- Develop relationships with cedent companies to facilitate the growth of the facultative portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Reinsurance Operations team to ensure control of all deadlines, follow-ups and deliverables for certificates, endorsements, regulatory reporting or other reinsurance documents is in order.
- Ensure information is correct and accurate for reinsurance billings and issued on time as per the budgeted schedule.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Claims Recovery and Credit Control teams to address any reconciliation matters or claims cash call or recovery issues with reinsurers.
- Assist the Unit Head to work on new business opportunities.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant company and/or group policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and correspondence.
Representing the Company
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Knowledge and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in actuarial science, insurance, business management or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar field.
- Preferably with experience in broking or reinsurance.
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and written in English.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Interpersonal skills and client relationship capabilities
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
