Associate / Senior Associate / Manager – Investment Data & Sanctions

The opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our Consulting Financial Services capability, supporting both investment data operations and sanctions monitoring functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring, accuracy, integrity, and governance of investment data, compliance with global sanctions regulations seamless data operations across enterprise platforms. You will contribute to both business-as-usual (BAU) data management activities and sanctions-related data processes.

Your key responsibilities:

Investment Data Management (BAU)

• Maintain and manage portfolio setup and portfolio groups in systems such as Aladdin and Eagle
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of security master data across platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin)
• Perform data quality checks and reconciliation, including resolving duplicate or inconsistent issuer records
• Support end-to-end data lifecycle management and data governance initiatives
• Drive process improvements, SOP enhancements, and automation initiatives

Sanctions Monitoring & Compliance

• Perform issuer and securities data maintenance in line with Bloomberg Sanctions List
• Identify and assess potential matches and exceptions between internal systems and sanctions data
• Ensure timely and accurate updates of sanctions-related data in Aladdin
• Support development and implementation of sanctions monitoring procedures and SOPs
• Respond to and resolve sanctions-related queries and investigations

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Portfolio/Fund Managers, Compliance and Risk teams & Operations and Finance teams
• Engage with external vendors such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, BNY Mellon Eagle
• Ensure effective communication to support operational and compliance outcomes

Leadership & Continuous Improvement (Manager level)

• Lead and mentor a small team
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in investment data and/or sanctions processes
• Drive strategic initiatives, process transformation, and innovation
• Contribute to departmental SOPs, governance, and best practices

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Associate / Senior Associate: Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of relevant experience
• Manager: Minimum 10 years of experience in investment data, asset management, or related fields
• At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Familiarity with Aladdin, Bloomberg, Eagle platforms
• Knowledge of Sanctions monitoring, trade lifecycle, compliance, reference data
• Strong Excel and data reconciliation skills
