About the Role

The Associate Solution Architect designs ArcGIS System-based solutions that are focused on business outcomes, including applications, services, and infrastructure, to meet functional and non-functional requirements. They incorporate into each design a broad spectrum of architecture domains and associated Esri best practices in areas such as business continuity, deployment patterns (on-premises/cloud), security, governance, publication strategy, and application architecture (including custom applications).

Here's what a typical day will look like:

• Design and document enterprise system architectures (GIS experience advantageous).
• Define system requirements, architecture components, integration points, and deployment strategies.
• Develop cloud, hybrid, or on-premises GIS solutions based on business requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to identify and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Implement, configure, and administer the ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure, including scalability, reliability, and performance of GIS systems.
• Plan for upgrades, patching, and system migrations (e.g., lift-and-shift, version upgrades).

About You - Applicants must be local Malaysian to be considered for this role.

We're looking for an Associate Solution Architect to design and implement solutions that meet business needs across applications, and services. If you have experience in system integration, solution design, and want to grow into architecture, this is your next career move. GIS experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

To be successful you will need to bring along:

• 710 years IT experience, with exposure to enterprise systems (GIS experience a plus).
• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, or IT.
• Skilled in requirements analysis, business process design, solution architecture, and system integration.
• Strong knowledge in at least 4 of:

>>>ArcGIS Server / ArcGIS Enterprise / Web GIS.

>>>SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL database management.

>>>IT/network fundamentals.

>>>Virtualization and HCI.

>>>Windows Server / Linux administration.

>>>Backup & disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning.

• Experience with system load and performance testing (advantage).
• Relevant IT certifications (advantage).
• Excellent communication in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive problem-solver.
