About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Specialist, Compliance Review T1 to join our Group Compliance team at RHB Banking Group. This role supports our commitment to a strong compliance culture by reviewing regulatory adherence across the organisation. You will work with business leaders and BRCOs to assess risks, investigate issues, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely closure of compliance matters. Your work helps protect the Group's reputation while strengthening our governance framework.
What You Will Be Doing
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, emerging trends, and best practices
- Perform end-to-end or in-depth thematic reviews on specific guidelines or business functions across the Group
- Engage with management to evaluate and address compliance issues identified during reviews
- Conduct exit meetings to communicate concerns and recommendations clearly
- Partner with BRCOs and management teams to develop and implement corrective action plans
- Track action plans to ensure timely resolution of compliance concerns
- Monitor the annual compliance review plan and support any ad hoc requests from regulators
- Ensure potential or actual violations are documented and reported to the Board and Management
- Prepare regular compliance updates and review reports for senior stakeholders
