About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Specialist, Sustainable Financial Services to join Group Sustainable Finance at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will provide analytical, research, and coordination support to mobilise the Group's Sustainable Financial Services (SFS) initiatives and contribute to the reduction of the Group's financed emissions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across business units to support sustainable and transition finance initiatives, while staying abreast of sustainability-related industry and regulatory developments.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide analytical, research, and coordination support to mobilise the Group's Sustainable Financial Services (SFS) initiatives
- Support the team and business units (BUs) in the preparation and implementation of sustainable and transition finance initiatives
- Assist with data gathering, documentation support, and preliminary ESG eligibility assessments under guidance
- Support efforts to contribute to the reduction of the Group's financed emissions
- Monitor sustainability industry developments, emerging trends, and regulatory updates
- Assist in internal reporting, knowledge-sharing activities, and coordination across stakeholders
- Ensure work is executed in a timely manner and in accordance with internal policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Protect the reputation and integrity of the department, the Bank, and the Group
What We're Looking For
- Relevant working experience or strong interest in sustainable finance, ESG, corporate finance, banking, consulting, or related fields
- Strong analytical and research capabilities
- Good planning, coordination, and organisational skills
- High level of attention to detail and documentation quality
- Driven, proactive, and passionate about sustainability and sustainable finance
- Strong interest in sustainability, transition finance, and the development of sustainable financial markets
- Ability to monitor, interpret, and summarise sustainability-related regulatory and industry developments
