Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Associate located in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in corporate income tax compliance, including preparation of tax computation, filing of tax return, and estimate of tax payable.
- Assist in tax advisory (direct and indirect tax), tax dispute and other tax matters.
- Assist clients with transfer pricing and risk management for their cross-border transactions involving different tax jurisdictions from country to country.
- Assist in preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
- Liaise with clients, government authorities, and other relevant parties.
- Handle tax administrative duties, and assist the team with other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ICAEW are a plus
- Minimum 2 years experience in a taxation role is preferred
- Proficiency with tax software Superior TaxComp
- Proficiency in using office software and technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, and related tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
