Job Description

Job Purpose

To conduct the research and innovation initiatives focused on improving system performance, optimizing maintenance processes, and delivering innovative solutions through technology adoption, process improvement, and project management to enhance the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) performance of all lines.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry trends relevant to the organization's needs.
  • Explore innovative solutions to improve system performance.
  • Collaborate with the internal business unit to develop in-house solutions by adapting new technologies and processes.
  • Support the planning, execution, and delivery of R&D projects with a business unit for in-house or outsource development.
  • Execute partnerships with universities, industries, and government agencies to support collaborative research initiatives.
  • Prepare the R&D documentation for research activities, project developments, process optimizations, technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present the findings and recommendation to stakeholders and management.
  • Coordinate and monitor the progress of the R&D projects conducted.
  • Execute projects related to improvement and R&D initiatives.
  • Manage and execute any task or asignment assigned by Line Manager.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or an equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Railway Engineering, R&D, technical projects or related fields.
  • Familiarity in Railway Systems, Research and Innovation, Project Management, and sustainable technology adoption.
