We are seeking a highly skilled
Atlassian Platform Automation Engineer with a strong background in
software development and technical support. This critical role, part of the DevOps team, focuses on leveraging scripting, APIs, and integration techniques to optimize the Atlassian platform (Jira, JSM, Confluence), automate complex business processes, and provide deep integration with our data ecosystem.
Your role at HFM (Responsibilities):
- Develop and deploy advanced automation using Jira REST API, Python, and Crons.
- Administer and optimize the Atlassian suite (Jira, JSM, Confluence), focusing on workflows, permissions, and security.
- Convert business processes into structured, automated Jira projects in collaboration with process teams.
- Integrate Jira with external data sources and reporting tools.
- Extract and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from Jira data for leadership reporting.
- Provide expert support and training on Atlassian usage and automation.
- Assist the DevOps team with broader IT automation tasks.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience as a Software Developer or equivalent focused on scripting/applications.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience administering Jira/Atlassian products.
- Expertise in Jira REST API and Python for automation.
- Strong knowledge of Jira customizations (workflows, schemes, permissions).
- Experience with Linux System Administration and managing Atlassian on Linux.
- Familiarity with Agile and ITSM/ESM practices.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
