Responsibilities

What You Can Expect

Your responsibilities will vary depending on your level of experience, with opportunities across the following areas:

Actuarial Audit Support (All Levels)

  • Support actuarial components of external audit engagements for life and general insurers
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and reasonableness checks
  • Review assumptions, methodologies, and results; perform movement analysis
  • Prepare or review audit working papers and supporting documentation
  • Support the identification, documentation, and resolution of audit findings
  • Collaborate closely with audit teams to ensure timely and well documented deliverables

Technical & Advisory Exposure

  • Depending on your role level, you may support or lead work in:
  • IFRS 17 reporting and analysis
  • Valuation / Embedded Value / VNB (Life Insurance)
  • Reserving (GI) and Capital / Solvency (RBC)
  • Actuarial modelling and quantitative analysis
  • Independent review and challenge of actuarial models and calculations

Data, Tools & Delivery

  • Support or lead actuarial and audit related work using actuarial, data, and modelling tools
  • Assist in data preparation, transformation, and analysis
  • Apply structured and analytical thinking to complex actuarial issues
  • Ensure outputs meet quality, documentation, and regulatory expectations

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement (Manager / Senior Manager)

  • Lead actuarial audit support engagements and manage delivery timelines
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Review work, ensure quality, and mentor junior team members
  • Engage with senior stakeholders on actuarial findings, risks, and insights
  • Support practice growth and business development initiatives

Requirements

Who We're Looking For:

We welcome actuarial professionals across different career stages who are passionate about insurance, analytics, and high-quality professional work.

Associate / Senior Associate

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
  • 0–3 years of experience in actuarial or insurance related roles
  • Progress in actuarial exams is preferred
  • Strong foundation in Excel and data analysis
  • Exposure to actuarial and analytics tools (e.g. Prophet, RAFM, ResQ, Python, R, SQL, Alteryx) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and teamwork skills

Assistant Manager

  • Degree in Actuarial Science or related discipline
  • 3–6 years of experience in life insurance actuarial work
  • Exposure to valuation, IFRS 17, EV, or capital frameworks preferred
  • Familiarity with actuarial tools (Excel, Prophet, RAFM, etc.)
  • Prior audit or audit support experience is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Manager / Senior Manager

  • Degree in Actuarial Science or related discipline
  • 7–12+ years of relevant experience in life insurance (consulting or industry)
  • Strong expertise in actuarial valuation, financial reporting, IFRS 17, EV, and/or capital (RBC)
  • Proven experience with actuarial modelling tools
  • Ability to manage teams, engagements, and senior stakeholders effectively
  • Strong leadership, communication, and delivery skills under tight timelines
