Responsibilities

What Can You Expect

As an Actuarial Intern, you will be involved in practical actuarial and insurance related work while supporting both audit and advisory engagements.

You Can Expect To Gain Exposure To

  • Insurance liabilities valuation, including assumptions setting, methodologies, reserve computations, and regulatory requirements
  • Key frameworks such as Bank Negara Malaysia's Risk Based Capital (RBC) Framework, European Embedded Value (EEV), IFRS, Solvency II, and Insurance Groups Directive (IGD)
  • Hands on actuarial fieldwork, supporting real audit and advisory assignments
  • Actuarial analytical work, including data analysis, technical calculations, and model support
  • Preparation of technical reports and professional presentation materials

This internship provides a strong foundation for understanding how actuarial expertise supports governance, compliance, and sustainable business performance in the insurance sector.

Who We're Looking For

Requirements

  • Undergraduates who have completed at least two years of their degree studies, or candidates pursuing professional actuarial qualifications
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Active involvement in extracurricular activities, with demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Able to commit to an internship placement for a minimum duration of 12 weeks
