Job Description

  • Assist in conducting background research to understand the client's business environment and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development and maintenance of professional relationships with clients during audit activities.
  • Prepare and maintain working papers and assist in performing audit procedures.
  • Identify and report compliance or risk issues to senior auditors.
  • Support analysis of business and financial risks for clients.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure audits are performed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Keep updated on auditing standards and financial regulations under guidance from senior auditors.
  • Undertake additional audit-related responsibilities as instructed.

Job Requirements

  • Basic to profound understanding of audit concepts and preparation of audit working papers
  • Ability to identify and report audit issues under supervision.
  • Familiarity with auditing standards, MIA by-laws, financial accounting standards, and relevant laws such as the Companies Act and Accountants Act.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and audit team members.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to diverse audit tasks.
