Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Audit & Tax Manager based in Kuala Lumpur. The Audit & Tax Manager will oversee tax planning and compliance processes, manage tax audits, and lead the preparation of financial statements. The role involves working closely with clients on tax-related matters, performing indirect taxation tasks, and monitoring regulatory updates to ensure compliance. The Audit & Tax Manager will also assist in managing and mentoring a team of professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Audit, Accounting & Tax department, including planning team structure and workflow.

• Develop and execute department strategies to support business growth.

• Manage client relationships and act as the key contact for major clients.

• Prepare, review, and approve quotations, proposals, and engagement terms.

• Provide financial advisory to clients on audit, accounting, and tax matters, including processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant laws, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Review reports, financial statements, and tax submissions before finalisation.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and expand services.

• Lead, mentor, and develop team members.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent) is an added advantage

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in audit, accounting, and tax; preferably in management firm.

• At least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of audit, accounting standards, and tax regulations.

• Good client management and communication skills.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple clients/projects at the same time.

• Proficiency in Chinese language is required (both verbal and written).

• Experience in business development is an added advantage.
