Role Description The Auto Loan Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Baharu. This position is responsible for guiding customers through Proton hire purchase loan options, explaining financing terms, and recommending suitable packages. The consultant will handle loan applications from submission to approval, including documentation checks, basic financial assessment, and coordination with internal banking and sales teams. Daily tasks include engaging with walk-in and referred customers, following up on pending applications, and ensuring timely updates and clear communication. The role also involves meeting sales and service targets, maintaining accurate records, and supporting showroom staff in promoting Proton financing solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Loans and basic Finance principles, with the ability to explain hire purchase products clearly.
- Experience in Financial Services, particularly consumer or automotive financing, is highly beneficial.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on fast, friendly, and professional support to car buyers.
- Background in Sales, including achieving targets, handling inquiries, and converting leads into successful applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse customers.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling documentation and basic credit-related information.
- Ability to work on-site in Johor Baharu, collaborate with showroom and banking teams, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field is an advantage; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
