The company specializes in competitive Proton hire purchase loan financing packages for new Proton car purchasers across Malaysia through the PESB sales network. The organization focuses on fast, efficient, and friendly service, aiming to make car ownership more accessible and convenient for a wide range of customers.

Role Description The Auto Loan Consultant is a full-time hybrid role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with some flexibility for work from home. The Consultant will guide customers through the Proton hire purchase loan process, including explaining financing options, assessing customer eligibility, and assisting with loan applications and documentation. Daily responsibilities include liaising with Proton dealers, coordinating with internal credit and operations teams, and tracking applications to ensure timely approvals and disbursements. The role also involves providing accurate product information, maintaining customer records, following regulatory and compliance requirements, and delivering courteous, professional service in person, over the phone, and online. The Consultant is expected to meet individual and team targets while contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service, client relationship management, and communication skills to engage car buyers and dealership staff effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of consumer lending, hire purchase financing, and banking processes, with the ability to learn and apply company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Competence in data entry, documentation handling, and attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete loan applications.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or loan processing systems) and the ability to work across digital platforms.
  • Sales and negotiation capabilities, including the ability to explain product benefits clearly and support customers in choosing suitable financing options.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities to meet performance targets.
  • Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in finance, business, banking, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in auto loans or consumer finance.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are an advantage for serving diverse customers.
  • Prior experience in automotive financing, banking, or financial services is beneficial but not mandatory for strong entry-level candidates.
