About The Role
The primary role of the Engineering function is to apply advanced skills and knowledge of manufacturing engineering to develop and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documentation. This ensures production meets current and future volume, quality, safety (OHS), and cost requirements.
Key deliverables include conducting prototyping and verification activities to determine design feasibility and suitability, as well as assisting in the development, execution, and testing of new and existing products.
Responsibilities
- Implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documentation to meet production volumes and quality standards.
- Resolve technical issues while ensuring compliance with OH&S guidelines.
- Represent Manufacturing in collaboration with Product Development to ensure robust, manufacturable products.
- Introduce and maintain production procedures; provide training on new equipment, processes, and procedures.
- Complete process validation activities and maintain accurate documentation.
- Identify and implement quality and efficiency improvements, including GMP, Six Sigma, and Lean initiatives.
- Perform specialized work requiring knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and concepts.
- Build productive internal and external working relationships.
- Occasionally lead project teams and provide training to junior staff.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Developing professional expertise; ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Preferred:
- Experience in automation within a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and GMP principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
