Automation Engineering manager (Process)

Role Summary:

The Automation Engineering manager (Process) leads the Engineering Department in driving Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and automation initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost. This role requires strong leadership in managing engineering teams, optimizing processes, and supporting business growth through strategic capacity planning and CAPEX investments.

Job Responsibilities:

-Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost

-Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions

-Conduct work measurement, time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and productivity analysis

-Manage and monitor Engineering Department KPIs, driving performance improvements

-Lead, coach, and develop Engineers and Technicians to achieve departmental objectives

-Drive automation projects, including new processes, jigs, fixtures, and equipment

-Establish and maintain manufacturing standards, SOPs, and best practices

-Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production, quality, maintenance, and process issues

-Plan and manage departmental CAPEX investments to support growth and operational needs

-Coordinate cross‑functional projects and communicate performance, improvement initiatives, and operational issues to management

Job requirements

-Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

-Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Industrial Engineering methodologies

-Experience in process optimization, automation projects, capacity planning, and manufacturing operations

-Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment

-Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and communication skills

-Mandarin language proficiency (spoken and written) preferred for effective communication
