Position Overview
The Automation and Performance Tester is responsible for planning, preparing, executing, and validating test scenarios using automation and performance testing tools. This role ensures that applications meet functional quality, stability, and performance requirements by collaborating closely with functional and technical teams throughout the testing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Preparation & Planning
- Review and reconfirm business processes with the functional team to ensure accurate understanding before test execution.
- Prepare comprehensive test data aligned with business rules and scenario requirements.
- Develop or update test scripts based on functional specifications.
- Set up and configure automation and performance testing tools based on project needs (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, LoadRunner).
2. Test Execution (Automation & Performance)
- Execute automated test scripts to validate functional and regression scenarios.
- Conduct performance tests including load, stress, endurance, and scalability assessments using appropriate tools.
- Monitor test execution results, identify anomalies, log defects, and retest after fixes.
- Validate outcomes against expected results and ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Defect Management & Collaboration
- Document and log defects systematically with sufficient detail for troubleshooting.
- Liaise closely with functional and technical teams to clarify issues, support debugging, and verify defect fixes.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide updates on test progress and risks.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate logs of all test executions, results, and issues.
- Produce final consolidated test result reports as formal deliverables for project signoff.
- Ensure all documentation is aligned with project quality standards and traceability requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Handson experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Katalon, Tosca).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Proficiency in analyzing performance results and identifying bottlenecks.
- Ability to write, maintain, and optimize test automation scripts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins) is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating across functional and technical teams.
- Detailoriented, organized, and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Teamplayer mindset with a proactive approach to quality improvements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 25 years of experience in QA automation, performance testing, or similar roles.
- Experience in both automation and performance roles is preferred.
