We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Group Strategy department under Group Strategy & Transformation division as an Assistant Vice President, Group Project Management Office.

The Role

A successful candidate in this position will be accountable for the following:

  • Responsible for on-going improvement and formalization of project governance standard and process;
  • Ensure individual project owners adhere to project management policy and project implementation guideline;
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of Project Management Office, ensuring high, consistent, and reliable service and advisory on project management to our Business/support partners.

Job Description

Project Tracking & Reporting

  • Manage Group Project Management Office meeting on monthly basis
  • Track and report status of approved projects in the Bank till project completion
  • Update Project Capex utilization to Group Project Investment Committee, Executive Risk Management Committee and Board Committee when necessary
  • Prepare and update delayed project Tracking Dashboard and project Governance Dashboard for projects exceeding high cost/ complexity treshold
  • Presentation of highlights from Monthly Group Project Investment Committee meeting at monthly Executive Risk Management Committee meetings
  • Key monitoring and follow up with project managers on the implementation of Bank's strategic projects
  • Prepare Project Capex utilization for Board Committee on a quarterly update
  • Logistic management of the investment committee meeting including scheduling of Group Project Investment Committee meeting and vet thru minutes of meeting prepared by Company Secretary to ensure its accuracy before distribution to Group Project Investment Committee members and provide key updates in the meeting

Project Papers and Documents Reviews & Assurance

  • Review & evaluate project papers, project timeline, business case of all project submission before submission to Group Project Investment Committee for approval/endorsement
  • Review project closure form and post mortem questionnaire for completed projects and to review/evaluate actual project deliverables/benefits to ensure the project is delivered as per project deliverables/benefits as stated in the project papers.

Provider of Training & Advices Related To Project Management

  • Provide guidance and coaching to users to understand and comply with project management policy and project management implementation guidance (PMIG) including understanding how to fill in all the documents/template as per guideline and budget utilization
  • Continuously review & improve project management process to reduce Turn Around Time, improve productivity & success of projects

Prioritization of New Investment Agenda Budget

  • To work with Group Finance to coordinate yearly budget for Project Capex submission
  • Notification to all affected Business Units and Support Functions on the approved NIA Listing or tracking of project implementation throughout the year

Repository of Project Documentation & Knowledge

  • Repository of all approved projects documents and project closure forms for audit and other purposes
  • To manage the changes or renewal of Project Management Implementation Guideline and Project Management Policy

Any additional or adhoc task that has been assigned by Head, Group Project Management Office
