  • Responsible to support and execute adoption / implementation (with or without modification)/ maintenance of Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (MAHB) subsidiaries (legal entities) operational risk management frameworks, policies, guidelines/procedures, methodologies and reporting in alignment with the business objectives of Etiqa's vision and aspiration.
  • Operational risk management focuses on identification, assessment and evaluation of risks, and putting controls in place to reduce, avoid or transfer risks; monitoring and reporting of risks.
  • To support and execute the implementation and deployment of Operational Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) within the organization its employees, customers, reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders (shareholders, regulators).
  • To support and execute the implementation of Operational Risk Indicators within the organization.
  • To support and execute the implementation of Operational Risk Incidents reporting within the organization.
  • To support strategies to promote risk aware culture, specifically in the understanding and application of the operational risk management framework, tools, policies and standards.
  • To support, execute and ensure Operational Risk Management Framework, Methodologies and Policies which, are in compliance with internal regulation and regulatory requirements.
  • To provide independent risk assessment on product proposal's system readiness and development
  • Assist in appointment of Operational Risk Officers (ORO) as well as provide consultation and guidance.
  • Assist in the area of Business Process Review for list of identified functions and scopes.
  • Drive digitalization initiatives within ORM.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum degree / degree equivalent professional qualification. Risk management, compliance, audit and/or insurance/ takaful operations
  • At least 4 years of experience in relevant role of operational risk management and business operations related background.
  • Sound knowledge of Operational Risk Management tools, operational risk profile and other regulatory/ best practice's risk frameworks.
  • Sound communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively work within a team with the ability to manage workload effectively
  • To be able to support and execute initiatives that would incorporate leading-edge solutions that keeps Etiqa Group in a leadership position.
  • To be able to interact with all functions and levels including senior Management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • To be able to execute the implementation of operational risk initiative within the local operations.
  • Knowledge in any Enterprise Risk Management/ Operational Risk Management software/ system.
  • To have good operational knowledge, critical thinking and presentation skill
