AWS Data engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in AWS-based data solutions. In this role, you will design, deploy, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and frameworks that enable high-performance analytics and data-driven decision-making. You'll work as an individual contributor in a dynamic environment—solving complex data challenges, ensuring cost efficiency, and driving excellence in cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage data solutions leveraging AWS services such as S3, Lambda, SNS, Cloud Step Functions, and MWAA (Airflow orchestration).
• Process large volumes of structured and semi-structured data efficiently and securely.
• Build and optimize data lakes and manage configurations using Delta Tables.
• Implement scalable data integration frameworks aligned with business and technical needs.
• Apply strong cost optimization and performance tuning strategies for compute and storage workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, governance, and lineage.
• Communicate effectively with IT stakeholders and business teams, understanding pain points to deliver impactful solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–8 years of experience in Data Engineering with strong hands-on exposure to AWS services.
• Proficiency in PySpark, S3, Lambda, SNS, Cloud Step Functions, and MWAA (Airflow).
• Strong understanding of data lake architecture, ETL design, and Delta Table configurations.
• Proven track record in data transformation, data pipeline automation, and metadata management.
• Sound knowledge of computing, performance optimization, and cost management on AWS.
• Experience with data governance principles, metadata management, and data lineage tracking is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
