Azure Cloud Specialist
We are seeking a Cloud Specialist to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade infrastructure and cloud solutions. This role is critical to a ongoing cloud transition journey, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence across our IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy: Architect and implement cloud-based solutions aligned with business goals, focusing on cost-efficiency and standardisation.
- Solution Delivery & Support: Act as a Level 3/4 subject-matter expert for server and cloud-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Infrastructure Protection: Maintain IT security architecture standards, monitor risks, and enforce compliance with security controls.
- Operational Excellence: Manage physical and virtual servers, implement disaster recovery plans, and recommend technology enhancements.
Main Criteria for the Role
- Strong experience in on-premises infrastructure and Azure cloud environments to lead and support our cloud migration initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Intune to address ongoing operational challenges and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ability to work across hybrid environments (Office 365, Windows Active Directory, SCCM, VMware, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with IT system implementation, migration, and administration.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Certifications in Azure/AWS cloud planning, design, security, and administration.
- Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure technologies and architecture standards (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to act as a subject-matter expert for cloud and infrastructure.
