Title Role: Cloud (Azure) Engineer - Enterprise OCR

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Duration: 12 months (renewable contract)

Key responsibilities:

Designs and implements enterprise OCR solutions aligned to enterprise architecture principles, defining scalable/secure/reusable OCR service patterns and governance frameworks. Architects, deploys and maintains Azure-based OCR platforms (Azure AI Document Intelligence/Form Recognizer, Cognitive Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Storage Accounts, Data Factory, App Services, Key Vault, Monitor/Log Analytics). Integrates OCR platforms with enterprise apps (ERP, CRM, SAP, SharePoint, workflow systems) via APIs, event-driven integrations and automated document pipelines; establishes data quality/validation/exception management processes. Ensures compliance with security policies and data protection via RBAC, encryption, secret management and audit logging; conducts architecture reviews and risk assessments. Manages production OCR environments, monitors performance/accuracy/throughput, troubleshoots issues with RCA, and establishes runbooks, SLA monitoring and disaster recovery plans.

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience. Strong hands-on expertise across Azure AI Document Intelligence (Form Recognizer), Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Storage Accounts, Data Factory, App Services, Key Vault, and Monitor/Log Analytics. Enterprise integration experience (ERP, CRM, SAP, SharePoint), API/event-driven design, and automated document processing. Strong knowledge of security/governance controls (RBAC, encryption, secret management, audit logging), enterprise architecture standards, and regulatory/compliance requirements. Operational experience with production support, SLA monitoring, and disaster recovery.
