Backend Developer – .NET Core & MVC5 Malaysia | Contract

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Backend Developer with strong proficiency in .NET Core and MVC5 . The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development within the insurance industry and is passionate about building reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs using .NET Core and MVC5
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including planning, development, testing, and deployment
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues to ensure application stability and performance
• Support system integration and ensure seamless connectivity between internal and external platforms
• Contribute to architecture design discussions and propose technical improvements
• Ensure solutions comply with security standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in backend development
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core and MVC5
• Proficient in C# and RESTful API development
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
• Understanding of software design patterns and principles
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred
