Job Description

We're Hiring: Backend Tech Lead

Experience: 7+ Years

Technology Stack: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Tech Lead to design, build, and lead scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot‿based microservices. The ideal candidate will play a hands on technical leadership role, drive architectural decisions, mentor team members, and ensure delivery of high quality, cloud native solutions deployed on AWS and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of Java Spring Boot microservices with a focus on scalability, performance, and resilience
Define and enforce backend architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices
Act as a technical mentor to development teams
Drive cloud native application development on AWS, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring
Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with external/internal systems
Oversee containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Ensure application security, reliability, and observability (logging, monitoring, alerts)
Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for faster and reliable releases
Participate in production support, performance tuning, and root cause analysis when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

7 + years of experience in backend application development using Java
Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture
Hands on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API security (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)
Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and container based deployments
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Good understanding of event driven architectures and asynchronous processing
Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git)
Strong problem solving, communication, and leadership skills
