Backup Engineer

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience administering backup tools for bare metal and virtualization environments.
• In-depth knowledge of CommVault Complete Data Protection backup systems and architecture.
• Strong understanding of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) and virtualization (VMware).
• Hands-on experience with Windows PowerShell, Bash scripting, and CLI.
• Experience with SAN and FC networks.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP communications.
• Knowledge of VMware snapshots and workflows.
• Experience in handling LTO tape media.
• Commitment to continuous learning, development, and process improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
• Experience with backup solutions in financial institutions is an added advantage.
