Role Description The Banquet Team Member is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role supports the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and equipment according to event specifications. The Banquet Team Member assists with food and beverage service during events, ensuring timely, professional, and courteous delivery to guests. Daily responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in banquet areas, following safety and hygiene standards, and coordinating with kitchen and event staff to provide seamless service. The role also involves responding to guest requests, anticipating needs during events, and helping ensure every function runs smoothly and reflects Hilton's service standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in banquet operations, catering, or food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and event organizers.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving furniture and equipment, and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety, hygiene practices, and safe handling of equipment and service ware.
  • Good communication skills in English; additional language abilities are an advantage.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team, and adapt to changing event requirements and schedules.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles and a positive, professional attitude toward guests and colleagues.
