Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Backend Developer to support the development and enhancement of digital banking solutions within the retail banking domain. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Java and Spring-based frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on development experience and a strong understanding of banking application environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for digital banking platforms
• Build and enhance APIs and microservices using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Develop and optimize database interactions using Oracle and SQL
• Participate in system integration and support activities across environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and performance
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Follow best practices in secure coding, performance optimization, and application scalability

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of backend development experience in Java-based technologies
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, and SQL
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Unix-based systems (HPUX, Linux, Solaris)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative, Agile-driven environment
• Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Apache Camel (CXF), Spring Batch
• Knowledge of JavaScript and JSP for full-stack exposure
• Familiarity with Unix scripting
• Experience with WebLogic Portal or similar middleware platforms
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks
• Knowledge of management reporting or banking-related reporting systems
