Role Purpose

Overview: Manage end-to-end benefits administration, payroll support, compliance submissions, vendor coordination, and employee case management across multiple countries in APAC.

Objectives: Ensure accurate and timely processing, strong governance, audit readiness, and a consistent employee experience.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Benefits Administration: Validate plan coverage and premiums, manage employee/dependent enrollments and movements, support annual enrollments and special programs, and handle benefits-related queries, leave corrections, understand benefit policy and advice employees
  2. Conduct onboarding training: Benefit coverage trainings for new hires
  3. Continuous improvement: Review current process and identify areas of improvement, work with continuous improvement team to automate/simplify processes
  4. Payroll Support & Controls: Prepare and validate movement data, reconcile inputs, process one-time payments, maintain checklists, and support retirement-related processes within defined policies
  5. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external service providers, maintain regular touchpoints, share required movement data, monitor service quality, and resolve issues.
  6. Financial Operations: Create and route purchase requests/orders, manage invoice submissions, track accruals, and support budget inputs related to benefits and payroll services.
  7. Government and Regulatory Compliance: Support statutory claims and clearances, submit required forms via government portals, and ensure compliance with local regulations across supported markets.
  8. Audit, Controls, and BCP: Perform periodic checks, support internal/external audits, implement recommendations, and maintain business continuity documentation.
  9. Employee Case Management: Respond to service tickets, provide clear benefits communications, update employee-facing content, conduct onboarding benefits sessions, and support employee recognition communications.
  10. Time and Leave Adjustments: Process ad-hoc time adjustments (e.g., public holiday accruals) and maintain leave-related trackers where required.
  11. Stakeholder Engagement & Cadence: Participate in cross-functional meetings, huddles, and townhalls; maintain operational trackers and documentation; share best practices and learning sessions.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Technical: Payroll controls, benefits administration, PR/PO and invoice workflows, service ticket management, HR systems, and government portals.
  • Operational: Data accuracy, process documentation, SOP/KT, stakeholder communication, external provider coordination, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Governance: Audit readiness, regulatory adherence, risk controls, and business continuity planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 35 years of experience in benefits administration and payroll support, ideally across APAC markets.
  • Familiarity with regional benefit programs, statutory requirements, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ticketing systems, Excel/Sheets, and government submission portals.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
